Milence – Commercial Vehicle Charging Europe, an ESPORG member, has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art charging hub in Maasmechelen, reinforcing Europe’s transition toward sustainable road transport.
Strategically located along the E314/A2, the site connects major logistics regions such as Antwerp, Liège, Maastricht, and Aachen, and strengthens the vital transport links between Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. It is positioned along two key European TEN-T corridors: the North Sea–Rhine–Mediterranean and the North Sea–Baltic.
The hub features eight charging bays equipped with four CCS chargers delivering up to 400 kW, alongside essential driver facilities including showers, toilets, free Wi-Fi, and secure parking. In a next development phase, the site will integrate Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology, allowing electric trucks to charge within 30 to 45 minutes.
With this new location, Milence further expands its Belgian charging network. The company already operates two hubsin the Port of Antwerp-Bruges and is developing another in Ghent, expected to open in early 2026. Milence offers a standard rate of €0.399 per kWh (excluding VAT) and supports multiple payment options via e-Mobility Service Providers and its own payment cards.
Founded in 2022 as a joint venture between Daimler Truck, TRATON GROUP, and Volvo Group, Milence was established with a clear purpose: to accelerate the shift to zero-emission road transport across Europe.
As an active ESPORG member, Milence contributes to the shared mission of building a safe, sustainable, and connected network of parking and charging facilities for Europe’s transport professionals.
