2025
Recharge City (Denmark) and mowiz TRUCK Porta de Barcelona (Spain) were named European Truck Parking Areas of the Year 2025 in their respective categories: Large parking areas (over 50 spaces) and Small parking areas(up to 50 spaces). Additionally, mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga (Spain) won the Green Truck Parking Management Award 2025 for its sustainability efforts.
The awards, presented by ESPORG’s international jury, praised the winners’ commitment to innovation and driver well-being. Recharge City was recognized as the first SSTPA with EU Platinum certification in Denmark. mowiz TRUCK Porta de Barcelona focused on improving logistics and prioritizing driver welfare, while mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga was recognized for its environmental sustainability.
Runners-up included Truck Etape Béziers (Green Truck Parking Management) and Le Truck Village/Eurotunnel(Large parking areas). The awards emphasize the growing importance of Safe and Secure Parking Areas (SSPAs) for truck drivers across Europe.
2024
Delta Truck Park Securing Parking in Dourges, France and On Turtle La Jonquera in Spain were voted European Truck Parkings of the Year 2024, respectively, in the category large parking areas (above 50 places) and small parking areas (up to 50 places) by ESPORG’s international jury, composed of representatives of leading road transport stakeholders and governmental and non-governmental institutions and bodies.
In particular, the jury commended the high quality of services offered to drivers by the two winners, their adaptability to the specific needs of the drivers and their ambition to innovate.
The jury commended in particular the 2022 winner and 2023 runner up, Truck Etape Béziers, who came second in the ranking, for maintaining the exceptionally high quality of service and customer care and awarded them with the European Excellence in Truck Parking 2024 runner-up certificate.
Certificates of excellence were awarded also to Truck Arena 31, Calsina y Carre, CertasEnergyRetail, Truck Park Brescia Est, and TWV Secure Park.
2023
Mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga and On Turtle La Jonquera truck parking areas were voted European Truck Parkings of the Year 2023, respectively, in the category large parking areas (above 50 places) and small parking areas (up to 50 places) by ESPORG’s international jury, composed of representatives of leading road transport stakeholders and governmental and non-governmental institutions and bodies.
The jury commended in particular the 2022 winner, Truck Etape Béziers, who came second in the ranking, for maintaining the exceptionally high quality of service and customer care, and awarded them with the European Excellence in Truck Parking 2023 runner-up certificate.
The jury also decided to award a certificate of excellence to La Londonienne, Smart Autohof, Truck Arena 31, and Truck Park Brescia Est.
2022
The French Truck Etape Béziers parking facility was voted European Truck Parking of the Year 2022 by ESPORG’s international jury , composed of representatives of leading road transport stakeholders and governmental and non-governmental institutions and bodies.
In particular, the jury commended the completeness and excellence of the winner’s service offer to drivers and attention to the smallest details, including environment, health, recreation, affordability, and indeed individual care to every single driver.
La Londonienne in France and Smart Autohof in Romania were selected as Runners Up for the 2022 ESPORG Excellence in Truck Parking Award.
