Preamble

The European Parking Organization (ESPORG) is dedicated to promoting best practices, innovation, and excellence in the parking industry across Europe. This Constitution outlines the fundamental principles and governance structure of ESPORG, serving as a guiding document for its members, executive committees, and governing bodies.

  1. Article: Name

The name of the organization shall be “European Parking Organization,” hereafter referred to as “ESPORG.”

  1. Article: Purpose

The purpose of ESPORG is to:

  1. Promote Best Practices: Advocate for standards of excellence in parking management, design, technology, and services.
  2. Foster Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders, including public authorities, private operators, and service providers within the parking sector.
  3. Support Education and Training: Provide a platform for knowledge sharing, educational programs, webinars, and training sessions related to the parking industry.
  4. Encourage Innovation: Embrace and promote technological advancements that enhance parking solutions, improve user experience, and optimize land use.
  5. Advocate for Policy Alignment: Work with governmental bodies and industry organizations to influence policies that support sustainable and efficient parking practices.

  • Article: Membership

  1. Eligibility: Membership is open to organizations and individuals involved in the parking industry, including but not limited to operators, municipalities, consultants, and technology providers.
  2. Membership Categories: ESPORG shall have different categories of membership, including individual, corporate, and associate members, each with defined rights and obligations.
  3. Application Process: Interested parties must submit a membership application, which will be reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee according to established criteria.

  1. Governing Body: ESPORG shall be governed by an Executive Committee elected by the members. The number of committee members, terms of office, and election processes shall be defined in the bylaws.
  2. Meetings: The Executive Committee shall meet regularly to discuss organizational matters, review policies, and guide strategic initiatives. Annual general meetings shall be held to update members and solicit feedback.
  3. Decision-Making: Decisions shall be made based on a majority vote of the members present at the meetings, while ensuring representation from diverse sectors of the parking industry.

All members of ESPORG are expected to adhere to the following principles:

  2. Approval: Amendments shall be adopted by a two-thirds majority vote of the members present.

In the event of dissolution, any remaining assets of ESPORG shall be distributed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring that they are transferred to organizations or causes that align with ESPORG’s mission and objectives.
