ESPORG member ATALAYA Patrimonio Inmobiliario S.L., part of Grupo TGF – Transportes García de la Fuente, is advancing the development of a new Gold-level Safe and Secure Truck Parking Area in Pinto, near Madrid.
Recently, ESPORG General Manager Dirk Penasse visited the parking facility in Spain and met with Felix Santaballa, CEO of TGF to discuss the project’s progress and its contribution to safer European truck parking infrastructure.
The site is designed to offer a comprehensive range of services, including a secured perimeter with surveillance systems, sanitary facilities, a repair shop, truck wash, refuelling station and a cafeteria.
The discussions with the parking operator also highlighted interest in ADR (dangerous goods), EV charging, abnormal transport and Military Mobility. TGF parking area already includes three dedicated power plugs for refrigerated trucks.
Strategically located just 25 km south of Madrid at the junction of the Atlantic and Mediterranean TEN-T Core Network Corridors, the facility offers excellent access to major logistics hubs such as Mercamadrid and the industrial zones of Getafe.
Supported by EU funding through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), TGF is developing a Gold secure parking complying with the EU Parking Standard established by the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1012. Construction started in September 2024 and the parking is now operational and available 24/7.
