On 24 July 2026, the AERS Groep officially opened one of Belgium’s most comprehensive integrated truck stops, offering a complete service concept for professional drivers and transport companies. Strategically located near the Port of Zeebrugge, Aers Truckplaza combines refuelling and charging facilities, food and beverage services, an extensive convenience store, and a secure truck parking area at a single location. With this project, the AERS Groep responds to the growing demand for high-quality facilities for the transport sector while contributing to a safer, more efficient, and more sustainable logistics chain.

A Complete Service Concept for Every Road User

Aers Truckplaza features separate fuel stations for passenger cars and trucks, a spacious convenience store with everyday essentials, a bakery for quick refreshments, and a restaurant offering an extensive menu. Both professional drivers and other road users can enjoy a comfortable stop during their journey.

Safe and Comfortable Rest Area for Truck Drivers

For truck drivers, the site offers a secure parking facility with 140 parking spaces, providing a safe place to take their legally required rest periods. Drivers have access to a modern sanitary building equipped with separate restrooms, washrooms, and shower facilities for both men and women.

The parking area is monitored around the clock by an extensive CCTV system, while Aers Truckplaza staff carry out regular security patrols every few hours. The entire site is enclosed by secure perimeter fencing, ensuring a high level of safety for both drivers and their vehicles.

The project was developed in collaboration with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, which launched a concession for the development of a new truck stop. The AERS Groep, a family-owned company from Zeeland located just fifteen minutes from the site, was selected to design, build, and operate the facility. Through Aers Truckplaza, both partners aim to help address the structural shortage of secure truck parking facilities while meeting the growing demand for high-quality services for the international road transport sector.

“Our goal is to provide drivers with complete peace of mind,” says Jackij Aers.

Strategic Location Near the Port of Zeebrugge

The truck stop is strategically located at Exit 19 of the A11-E34 motorway in Zeebrugge, one of Belgium’s key logistics hubs. With direct access to the motorway and immediate proximity to the port, the location serves as an ideal base for both national and international freight transport.

Ready for the Mobility of Tomorrow

In addition to conventional fuels, Aers Truckplaza is investing in the future of mobility. The site is equipped with high-speed fuel pumps for trucks and ultra-fast charging stations delivering up to 800 kW for electric trucks. This enables both trucks and passenger vehicles to minimise their stopover time and quickly continue their journey.

A Key Link in the European Transport Network

With the opening of Aers Truckplaza, the Port of Zeebrugge region gains a new logistics hotspot. The combination of secure parking facilities, modern amenities, and sustainable mobility solutions makes the site an important link in the European transport network.

“Aers Truckplaza is much more than a truck stop. We have created a place where professional drivers can refuel, recharge, rest, and continue their journey safely and comfortably. With this investment, we are contributing to a stronger, safer, and more sustainable logistics network in one of Europe’s most important port regions.” AERS Groep
