More about the NAPCORE Project

The National Access Point Coordination Organisation for Europe (NAPCORE) project is a co-financed project dedicated to working on better alignment of the existing NAPs. The goal of NAPCORE is to improve the interoperability of mobility data in Europe through the harmonisation and alignment of common procedures and strategy. By strengthening the position and the role of NAPs, supporting steps towards the creation of European-wide solutions to better facilitate the use of EU-wide data can be achieved.

NAPCORE Mobility Data Days 2024

At the NAPCORE Mobility Data Days 2024 participants had the opportunity to be part of the discussion on the improvement of mobility data accessibility and availability in Europe, to hear about the latest achievements in the definition and implementation of common procedures and strategies for mobility data exchange and to meet experts in this domain from all EU Member States and more and exchange experiences, solutions and best practices.

ESPORG & the Role of Parking Areas

ESPORG General Manager Dirk Penasse presented as part of a panel entitled. “Ensuring quality parking data on NAPs” during the Mobility Data Days this year. During his presentation, Mr. Penasse had the opportunity to share important information related to safe and secure truck parking in Europe: namely, relevant legislation and funding opportunities to expand the network of safe and secure parking and the goals of the European Secure Parking Organisation. Mr. Penasse had the opportunity to interact with key stakeholders and lead an interactive discussion regarding the realisation of these goals, which are:

  • Integrate certified SSTPAs into the supply chain
  • Ensure an efficient, safe, secure, and socially acceptable logistics chain
  • Promote environmental sustainability
  • Establish comprehensive charging infrastructure for trucks throughout the EU
  • Incorporate SSTPAs into future urban planning
  • Connect SSTPAs with intermodal transport solutions
