Comfort & Health
Food available 24/7: At their restaurant complex, which offers a special and affordable menu for truckers, customers can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, specific dietary foods available, daily menu, sandwiches, and even more elaborate dishes. Special offers are made throughout the year for truck drivers. They know that truckers have a very flexible schedule and that is why restaurants is open 24/7, making it possible to eat or buy food at any time of the day.
If drivers want something quick to snack on instead of sitting down to eat or something out of the restaurant, vending machines are available in the rest area so that they can buy snacks and cold/hot drinks at any time.
Truckers can also cook or heat their own food in our microwave and clean their dishes at the facility.
Rest & Game Area: mowiz TRUCK has a rest and games area, where truck drivers can play table football, slot machines, cook or heat food in the microwave or use a relaxing sofa. At mowiz TRUCK drivers choose, safety, comfort and rest.
Within the rest area there is a work area, next to the vending machines, where drivers can charge their mobile phone, computer or any other mobile device or sit comfortably to carry out any paperwork or read their email. The rest area is climatized, so customers can watch TV and the site also has general and sectorial magazines available in several languages.
Shops available: The supermarket is located in the restaurant building and offers all kinds of products: healthy snacks, fruit, sandwiches, dairy products, oil and preserves. Customers can also find tobacco, energy drinks, juices, souvenirs. All payment methods are accepted: VISA, MasterCard or cash.
Laundry facilities on site: There are washing and dryer machines available at an affordable price of 3.50€ and 2.00€ respectively. They can even prepare a space if customers need to iron an item of clothing.
Health first: mowiz TRUCK Porta de Barcelona, has defibrillators available in case of emergency. The staff is trained to attend to any type of emergency in the truck park. 24/7/365 day remote support is available in case of emergency that can contact an ambulance or a doctor for assistance at the parking facilities. There is a pharmacy 2 km from the truck park, a Primary Care Centre – El Papiol 10km away and San Juan de Dios Hospital in Martorell, less than 10 minutes away.
Multilingual service options: The team can communicate in several languages (Spanish, English, French, Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian,…). All instructions for using services, information, payment methods are translated into several languages. Additionally, the whole team is equipped with tablets and translation applications to always support communication with international customers.

Near the truck park there is a hotel, AS HOTELS, which offers good quality-price ratio. This hotel has special room rates for truck drivers and discounts in the restaurant. It is located next to the AP-7 motorway, 9 km from El Papiol train station and 23 km from Barcelona-El Prat airport. The hotel features a modern 24-hour restaurant, a café and a business centre. Pets are allowed upon request.

At mowiz TRUCK Porta de Barcelona, the safety of trucks and its load is top
priority. The facilities have an advanced CCTV video surveillance system that works with AI 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, guaranteeing constant surveillance by detecting any type of strange movement, person or object and sending an alert to the security central.
This system is complemented by a perimeter fence equipped with a perimeter microphone sensor system and adequate lighting, creating a safe environment with on site security guard presence in case of any incident detection.
Access control, license plate recognition & QR Pedestrian Ticket: mowiz TRUCK Porta de Barcelona has a front and rear number plate recognition system, thus covering both the head and the load. In addition, a recognition system is incorporated to ensure that the same carrier who entered is the one who exits associated with that number plate. They have special control of trailer uncoupling and do not allow cross docking without the proper authorization and CMR documentation control. They have perimeter context cameras that capture images of the tractor and trailer from all angles as vehicles enter and exit the truck park. They are developing a pilot with AI applied to the video streams of these cameras to identify damage to trucks (cut tarps, hit trailers, problems with lights/indicators, etc.) in order to notify companies, mowiz TRUCK App customers of incidents that occur with their truck fleets.
As an alternative to the previous procedure, every time a customer wants to leave the parking protected area by foot, they must go to the ATM (located inside the building) and get their pedestrian ticket, which will allow them to leave the parking facilities whenever they want and enter again in a secure way by passing the QR of the ticket by the reader located at the parking entrances. This way, they speed up and facilitate the process for any driver who uses the parking area while they keep security control of pedestrian access.
Reliable and stable Wifi: The whole parking platform and the restaurant/Bar/rest area have unlimited access to high-speed free WiFi. They have 4 outdoor WiFi hotspots in the parking platform and 2 at the indoor area. The Internet connection has a capacity of more than 300 Mbps upload and download and is available to customers from any point in the parking lot with the same intensity. This is a relevant fact because most truckers usually rest in the cab.
mowiz TRUCK App & Website: The secure truck parking at Porta de Barcelona is designed to improve the quality of life of drivers by enhancing safety and offering different services that are available through their digital web platform and mobile app. With the mobile app customers can check the truck park availability in real time, their features and services, and even make reservations. Customers can also open the pedestrian turnstile (OR by printing a ticket with a QR code at the cash machines).
In the customer area customers can:

Environmental Friendliness
Water consumption reduction systems: Barcelona is an area with water stress, sometimes enforcing water restrictions, so at the truck parking area there are water consumption reduction systems like aerators in showers and taps, WC-Stops systems.
Electricity installation for truck cooling: 5 places are reserved for connecting refrigerated trucks at the entrance of the parking platform, close to the service building. To promote its use, and improve noise reduction, the truck parking area has offered them completely free of charge over the last months and have has the special offer for Q1 & Q2 2025.
Special trailer spaces: Out of the 50 places the parking has, they have reorganised its distribution to be able to accept special length vehicles. The parking area has now 6 special places for duo-trailers and mega trailers, and special long places for car carriers which frequently use the facilities due to proximity to SEAT vehicle’s factory.
Process digitization: To reduce paper consumption to the minimum. all access to any parking in the mowiz TRUCK network is done through license plate recognition and ticketless access. They also incentivize the use of digital ticket and invoice, through the mowiz TRUCK app and platform.
Eco grazing and waste sorting: customers are provided with containers to facilitate the separate management of waste and its recycling. In the area they have separating glass and paper collection. The big waste containers are located at the entrance of the truck park and are shared with the restaurant.
Alternative energy sourcing onsite: They have solar panels for power generation and solar panels with which they generate hot water with almost 100% green energy, and thus manage to maintain hot water accumulators that heat up during the day and can be used at night, all day long, using them as green energy batteries.

- Special facilitation measures for drivers, including young and female-driver: The parking has independent services for men (3 showers, 7 sinks, 2 WCs), women (1 shower, 2 sinks, 1 WC) and those with a disability (1 adapted toilet, sink & WC). A strict protocol has been implemented to clean the showers and toilets several times a day. These services are accessible 24x7x365 completely free of charge and available exclusively for truck parking’s customers.
