The ESPORG member Atalaya Patrimonio Inmobiliario, transport and real estate company located in Pinto, near Madrid, is currently developing an ambitious project aimed at enhancing infrastructure for freight transport

The project focuses on the construction and implementation of a Safe and Secure Truck Parking Area (SSTPA), in full compliance with the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/1012. The facility is designed to meet the stringent requirements necessary to achieve Gold Level certification.

Located strategically along the N-IV motorway in Pinto, just 25 kilometers from Madrid, the new parking area is positioned at a key junction between the Atlantic and Mediterranean TEN-T Corridors. Its proximity to major logistical and trading hubs such as Mercamadrid, Villaverde Bajo Railway Station, Puerto Seco de Coslada, and the logistic centers of Getafe will make it a crucial asset for national and international freight movements.

Once operational, the facility will offer 125 parking spaces specifically designed for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs).

These measures will guarantee a safe environment for both drivers and goods, meeting the growing demand for secure and high-quality truck parking facilities across Europe.

Construction works officially commenced in September 2024, and the project has been progressing smoothly. The Safe and Secure Truck Parking Area is scheduled to open its doors to the public in November 2025.
