Drivers First – the pioneering Swedish operator, is building the Nordic region’s first comprehensive network of secure truck parking – with a service concept designed to let drivers live and work under dignified conditions. While current sites offer secure parking, rest, and hygiene facilities, Drivers First is set to roll out on-site dining, truck washing, and future-ready charging solutions during 2026 – ultimately gathering all core services in one single environment.

Addressing a System Failure with Driver-Centric Solutions

The European transport sector faces a chronical driver shortage, exacerbated by undignified working conditions. Many drivers lack access to clean facilities, safe rest areas, or basic services during mandatory breaks. Drivers First was founded to change this reality.

“It’s a system failure,” says Gustav Jacobsson, CEO of Drivers First. “We are building the infrastructure that puts the driver back at the center – because dignified working conditions are the foundation of a resilient transport sector.”

The company is rapidly developing full-service secure truck stops. The current sites already offer high security standards – fencing, 24/7 CCTV, controlled access, and PIN systems – alongside comfort features like free showers, toilets, high-speed Wi-Fi, and lounges with kitchen facilities. During 2026, Drivers First will roll out the remaining on-site amenities, including food services, professional truck washing, and future-ready high-capacity charging solutions and more, ultimately bringing all core services together in one environment.

Strategic Expansion Across Sweden and Beyond

Drivers First currently operates three open sites in prime locations along Sweden’s key transport corridors:

  • Malmö (Olleboterminalen, Vintrie) – A strategic gateway near the Øresund Bridge for international freight.
  • Jönköping (Hyltena 51) – Center of Sweden’s logistics triangle – Stockholm, Gothenburg & Malmö.
  • Eskilstuna (Williams väg 3, Eskilstuna Logistics Park) – Gateway to Mälardalen, between Stockholm & Örebro.

Five more sites are planned for 2026, including Värnamo (67 spaces along the E4, a major South Swedish crossroads), Norrköping, and Borås. The long-term vision is ambitious: 45+ sites by 2030, creating the Nordic region’s largest secure transport infrastructure network.

All sites will be certified according to EU Parking standards and built to meet the future needs of electrification.
